Rush Limbaugh Is Dumb

Michael J. Fox is filming political ads in support of stem cell research. As much as I hate political ads, I actually think these are a good idea. A lot of people just don't understand stem cell research. If they would just learn how it works instead of jumping to conclusions, they may change their mind.

I'm actually impressed that Michael J. Fox is being so honest about just how debilitating Parkinson's is. It really humanizes the issue for folks when they see someone who is affected by one of the diseases that could be helped by this research.

Why Rush Limbaugh Sucks

He's accusing Michael J. Fox of FAKING his symptoms. How horrible is that? Mr. OxyContin himself, saying such a horrid thing. I don't care what your stance on stem cell research is, to say something like that means you're just plain mean.

Here's what he said:

He is exaggerating the effects of the disease," Limbaugh told listeners. "He's moving all around and shaking and it's purely an act. . . . This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn't take his medication or he's acting.

I'm just appalled. Moving around and shaking are symptoms of Parkinson's, which is what Michael J. Fox has. And since he's had it for some time, I'm sure it's progressed to the point that he's showing more symptoms than he did early on. To even suggest someone would fake an illness for political gain is ridiculous. Just because it's something Rush would do, doesn't mean others share his bad morals.
