And We Have Movement!

Today was my big training/weigh-in day. I did four miles in Sharon Woods Park - it was insanely hard because there are tons of hills and the path was covered in snow. I ran half and walked half. Not perfect, but pretty good considering I haven't been keeping up on my running. I was the last person to start and the first one to finish. (Granted, they were all walking so it wasn't a fantabulous accomplishment!)

I was most nervous about my weigh-in. Last week, I gained 2.7 lbs. I switched to Weight Watchers' Core program (fat-free dairy, whole grains, lean meat, fruits and veggies.) It made a world of a difference - this week, I lost 4.8 lbs! Granted, I wasn't perfect - yesterday, I ate at an Indian food buffet for lunc - and I got seconds. However, last night I had zero-point soup for dinner to balance it out.

My Big $150 Bet: I have to lose 7.4 lbs in 8 weeks. Definitely doable!

Best TV Show on Earth: Gone Country

Last night, I watched Gone Country, this celebreality show on CMT or TNN or something like that. They put Bobby Brown, Carnie Wilson (Wilson Phillips), Sisqo (Thong Song), Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady), Julio Iglesias Jr. and Diana DeGarmo (American Idol) in a house. They are competing to record a cross-over country music single.

Yes, that's right - Sisqo is trying to put out a country music single! If that's not hilarious enough for you, thwse "celebs" also have to embrace the country life - milking cows, mucking barns, etc. To make it even funnier, Marcia Brady and Bobby Brown are BFF. What a strange couple!
