They've Got the Right Stuff!

On Saturday, I went to Detroit with my friend Stephanie and her friend Liz to see New Kids on The Block.

It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Natasha Bedingfield opened and she was amazing. The New Kids performed for 2 1/2 hours - it was fantastic! We knew every song they sang and spent the entire time singing and dancing.

I especially loved the audience. It was a bunch of drunk women about my age, all there to relive part of their youth AND have a good time. The concertgoers decorated their cars, wore every New Kids item they owned and broke out some 80's gear. One girl photoshopped a picture of herself with Joe - she was dressed as a bride in the picture and the words on the shirt said "Mrs. Joey McIntyre."

Here were my impressions:
  • Donnie - Very fond of his crotch. He kept pointing at it and grabbing it and shaking it.
  • Jordan - I think he'd be bad in bed - very selfish. He did come out for one song with a completely unbuttoned white shirt.
  • Joe - Best voice of the group, but not tremendously exciting.
  • Danny - Definitely has aged the best. He did some AMAZING break dance moves.
  • Jon - Was he even there?

For your viewing pleasure - a video a complete stranger took at the Detroit show. (I found it on YouTube!) Enjoy!

It was such a blast! I'm going to hang some posters around my apartment.
