My Week = Blech!

Last week sucked. There's really no other way to say it.

I worked 47 hours in a 4-day week and another 8 hours over the weekend. I barely had time to remember my name. This past weekend was particularly awful. I worked until 10 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday, I got called to work some more at 9 a.m. - worked most of the morning and went to the office from 2:30 to 6:30 in the afternoon.

Sunday was the peach. Simon and I went to church and then to Panera for lunch. On the way home, I felt like I was going to throw up. Simon's like "Pull over, pull over." I ended up pulling over in an apartment complex parking lot. I didn't even make it all the way into the complex - just the driveway. I flung open the door, leaned out the car and threw up. Then I looked back and realized some poor SUV was stuck right behind me watching me defile their parking lot.

Once we got home, I got sick a few more times - once when I was on the phone with my friend Kelly telling her I couldn't meet her at the gym. Luckily, a nap cured all. I think I had a migraine. I've had headaches like that before.

Now a Retired Bellydancer

I've decided to quit bellydancing at my regular studio so I'm now officially a retired bellydancer. I might try to find another class with another studio or maybe the bellydancing class at my gym will be fun. I'm just going to be so busy at work this year. Bellydancing had started to feel like another job.

My studio is all about memorizing routines and I was learning 5 at the same time. I couldn't keep track. And to be honest, I HATE having to worry about my arm and feet placement and whether I'm making a perfect circle with the other girls in my group. Why couldn't we make an oval? Does it have to be a circle? Plus, class is at 9 p.m. on Wednesday so I got home super late. I'm kind of bummed because I thought it was a fun hobby. I really just want it to be a hobby, though, not a second career.

Oh - I bought a Nintendo DS and I'm in love with it. I think I need a new game though - I'm not crazy about the one I picked out as my main game. It's some attorney game. If you have any suggestions, let me know. Ebay is calling!

I like Brain Age, but I think it's just because I like being able to beat my 10 yo daughter at SOME video game!
