Now that I'm married, I feel like I should be Mrs. Suzy Homemaker, cooking elaborate homemade nutritious meals every night. In theory, that would be great. In actuality, I'm pretty dang busy. Most nights, I don't get home until well after 6. If I do get home before 6, I usually have a 7:30 fitness class to get to. It just isn't feasible to make "from scratch" meals every night.
Enter Green Giant. When they offered to let me try their frozen vegetables via My BlogSpark, I jumped at the chance! They sent me an exciting prize pack complete with frozen broccoli and cheese.
The verdict: not bad. If I made homemade lowfat broccoli and cheese on my own, it would probably take hours. This microwaved in 7 minutes, the nutrition stats were good and it was an actual vegetable. In fact, I served it with turkey cheddar sausages grilled on my George Foreman, baked tater tots (for the hubby), and the broccoli. I had dinner on the table in 20 minutes, which was great because I only had an hour
between work and my fitness class.
I need to remember these healthy convenience foods when I'm planning my meals. Maybe I can aim for whole foods 4 days a week.

My favorite vegetable is asparagus. Esepcially when it's slathered in mascarpone, wrapped in proscuitto and grilled. It's delicious.
I'm a big fan of medleys - broccoli & cauliflower, carrots and peas, red skinned potatoes and sugar snap peas.
I love roasted broccoli!
I love potato, corn, broccoli and cauliflower with cheese. I have been trying to find new ways to incorporate different veggies in our meals for the kids!
I like celery because it is like a grasshopper!!
My favorite vegetable is spinach, as in a spinach salad. I try to eat atleast 3 cups a day when on Weight Watchers.
My favorite vegetable would have to be potatoes. So many ways to cook them, you can't go wrong.
I just like corn on the cob, with butter and salt.
My favorite vegetable would be broccoli and cheese. I also like lettuce, corn, and butternut squash.
I like sweet potatoes. Add butter and sugar and cinnamon and I'm extra happy.
