I dragged my booty out of bed at 5:45 a.m. this morning so I could do my second 30 Day Shred workout. I wanted to stay in my cozy bed with my snoozing husband and cuddly cats, but I want a better booty even more!
I survived my second workout - although I started getting out of breath in the warm-up. (Those jumping jacks are killer.) I did better today than I did yesterday. The hardest exercise is the side lunge while simultaneously raising dumbbells to eye-level. Yesterday, I couldn't do it with weights at all. Today, I was able to do one set with weights.
I'm already sore, which is a bad sign since I usually don't get sore until 2 days after a workout. My shoulders and obliques are killing me. But, it's good to be sore. It means my weak muscle fibers are being torn apart and being stitched back together stronger and better than before!
