One Year Older, Maybe Not So Much Wiser

That's right, I did it ... I turned 30 (and lived)! See...I can even admit it in biggish, blue letters. So ...

Happy Birthday to Me

(and to Max - also the big 3-0 today)

I know it's cheesy to wish yourself a happy birthday, but really, if you're not glad you're born, who else will be?

I've been dreading 30 for so long that I'm almost relieved to get it over with. I mean, who would you rather hang out with? Tina Fey & Cameron Diaz or Britney Spears & Jessica Simpson. That's what I thought ... the 30-somethings!

My birthday's going to be great -- I took the day off work and booked a day at the spa, where I'm getting a facial, massage, pedicure, manicure, salt scrub and steam shower. Then I'm going with my friends to dinner at the Tropical Bistro and to the Funny Bone for a comedy show. (Unfortunately, it's Labor Day weekend so not all of my friends can make it, but it'll still be insane amounts of fun!)

And on Saturday or Sunday, I'm going out again with the Incredible Hottie (which will also be insane amounts of fun.) The rest of the time, I'll be cleaning and working (I've got a crazy travel schedule coming up) -- definitely not as much fun.
